Re: Cross member

This is it. David, I think it a waste to section a cross member. That's is my personal opinion. This kit is made by a non supporting forum member, the brothers.
It may only be a cheap imitation of PBFAB, but the price is right.

No worries man I already got a harness. Its about $100 bucks to ship one. I sold the last one because I ended up Z'ing mine.

It the Thorbro's, formally Suicide Doors, cross member.

I bought the builder kit he was selling on Instagram. You have to fab your own motor mounts and inner frame supports but it was only $700 and uses stock arms. He did a limited run of 100 I believe. I ordered back in August though (its for my second project so it will be a long while before I need it) and he is still working on them.

There are a number of different companies producing C10 cross members for varying prices now. Some have better designs than others. Had I not got the deal on the one I got I would have went with Porterbuilt or No Limit

Re: Cross member

Wow David. That says a mouth full. ill continue with my original plan and wait until I have the beans/coins for a worthy cross member. when I do pull the cross member and engine, the c10 will be rebuilt from top to bottom. Thanks. send the harness. ill wire it up and send it back.

The harness is already done

I believe you can call Porterbuilt and get an older version of the crossmember still. The older versions could use the stock arms which would save you some money. I don't know if they still produced them or if he just had a few left over.

Re: Cross member

While Jason is very talented and the kit appears to be a nice piece for the money, I think its worth spending the extra coin and going with the Porterbuilt or NoLimit. I'm very happy with my Porterbuilt setup.

Re: Cross member

I know this is an older thread, And while Jason only came out with this builders kit in fall of last year. It's not a new kit at all that he has. He came out with it right after PB came out with his. I bought his P-51 kit, this one is the P-47. I bought my kit back in 07 from Jason. It's a great product. He only stopped making them because he was and is the only welder in the company and S10 parts is his main business.
