I guess you guys have a good one. The S-10 catalog sucks. Nothing cool like that. Well I haven't gotten a new one, maybe they added some better stuff.

A bit expensive but they're different for sure! The underside of the inner fenders are painted silver. Read the description!

I bet them chrome inner fenders are cheap taiwan stuff. Probably single plated crap. I bet they rust like everything in no time at all.

Also, it's been awhile since I've been to their site. I see they now have online ordering with the printed catalog. This is good, because the ones taking the orders over the phone sure don't help any. If you have a question, you are sh~t out of luck. They could double their sales if they would have someone you could talk with if you had questions. Although, it seems they are doing pretty darn good the way they have it now. I don't plan on giving them any more of my money, if I can help it. It seems you either end up with overseas junk, or GM stuff at a high premium over the dealer. Neither one sits with me too well.

From LMC's new catalog:

"The top side of the Inner Wheel Well is buffed and polished to achieve a smooth defect-free plating surface, then a semi-bright nickel is applied, followed by a strike nickel, and then by bright nickel. The top of the Inner Wheel Well is then chromed. The underside is painted silver to resist rust and ensure durability."

I purchased a new bed floor, front bed panel, and wheel houses from Classic Industries and they were made in Taiwan. The thickness of the steel is nothing near factory (Except the bed floor) but the fit/finish is excellent. Surprisingly.....

With that said, I understand where your coming from, Mike.

I bet with gravel road with those thin fenders they would get dinged up from the underside pretty fast.

i just cant see having those chrome inner fenders, i mean, they really are going to look out of place, i think anyway, all chrome, just way too much. even though i'm sayin this now, i'm sure i'll end up gettin them for some odd reason.

LOL @ Jeff.

While everyone has a chromed-out motor and painted engine bay, you'de have something different. I'm thinking a black firewall, body colored radiator support, chrome LMC inner fenders, and minimal chrome engine items would look good. Just pictures "LOHRTBT's" engine bay with them!

I could be completely wrong though!

Hmmm? I wonder if they skipped something? Like maybe the coat of copper that goes on first to seal things up, and soften the scratches. Three coats of nickel instead? It sounds to me like it will be very brittle, and start rusting from the inside out....

I would consider them if I was keeping my inner fenders. Instead I am going to pull them out and put in some custom alum ones that go from teh fender edge to the frame rail.
For future bag use. hehe

Rather than new inners I'd rather see a cover for the inside of the inners, it would be cheaper to replace, and your stock inners would protect it from getting dinged from gravel spit up by the tires.

Just a thought...but still...I got to do something

/rushes off to add chrome inner fenders to his christmas list...then realizes his birthday is before christmas!

Those would look great with my "WHITE LEATHER TIRES" Our local trader publication has a non-automotive person typing up the ads you leave on their voice mail. On numerous occasions she has interpreted white letter tires to be WHITE LEATHER TIRES. I also like the 350 motors with 4 VOLT mains.

I saw that stuff! Those chrome fenders would be too much but with the people around here, I'll see some soon...

I saw they also have a daytime running lights kit. I know you guys probably don't like it, but I like the idea of DRL. It is $60 though for an electronic circuit I could probably make for $10. Anyone have an idea what the electronics inside this thing would be? If someone could find out, I could make a couple for board members.
