After market parts?

Any recommendations on which after market company provides the best quality parts at the best price? I've been looking all over and wonder if there is any quality difference when ordering from LMC or Classic Industries? Looking for door hardware and window mechanical parts. Is there a better place to find them for better quality/price? thanks.

Re: After market parts?

I haven't been impressed with some stuff I got from Classic Ind like door mirrors or seals to name a couple. Window channels I think were OK. For any of the hard parts I don't think you can beat original.

Re: After market parts?

I like many others have shopped from just about every vendor out there. Most of the stuff is made in a strange foreign land far, far away.... Of the American made stuff the quality is very good (but you pay for it - which is to be expected), I have no complaint with that BTW.

Not all of the standard truck supply houses (Brother, LMC, Classic Truck parts, ETC) carry the exact same items. LMC carries several items that are superior to the same thing from other vendors - such as the Exterior Door Mirror Gaskets - which have a built in lip so that the base NEVER can slide off and rub against the paint. Another item they have that others don't is the clear interior light lens, this lens allows more light to shine in the cab than the opaque lend that others sell.

Re: After market parts?

With a very few exceptions, all reproduction parts are made either in China or Taiwan. All truck suppliers get the same parts from the same place. Price and customer service are the only differences.
