hi
I removed my rear bushings and installed a set from
daystar
and now my rear end is moving around when I let off
the gas the drive line slams up in the
slip yoke and now I feel a wobble and they feel mushy
I have a 1972 chevy cheyenne longhorn one ton big
block with a turbo 400 and eaton corporate rear end 410
with a detroit locker

you have any thing that would help or know where to get original ones
or better replacements
please let me know

I did the cab ones at the same time
but just want to get the rear ones fixed first then get the others back to normal also

Were the Daystar bushings very loose in the eyelet holes? I may have a solution for you if you can't find originals.

no they seem to fit alright but are just mushy

of course they dont fit as tight as the originals that must have been pressed
in

When I replace all the spring bushings on my '68, I bought replacements from Denver Spring. They manufacture new leaf springs. Should be a similar type shop in your area. My bushings are the original type rubber/metal sleaved press in type. The old ones were a ***** to get out but worth it. They were also a little pricey at $12/ea! Check the yellow pages is my suggestion.

thats basicly where I am at now
I called the chevrolet dealer and
talked to the parts department
and he got me in touch with a place that makes replacement springs and
it sounds like they might find somthing
I left my number and info
and am waiting for the call back
after they see what they can find out

going to pm you and see if you can tell me the best way to install if I get some
I was thinking somthing like a couple blocks and some threaded rod

any good car parts place can get you polyurethane or urathane bushings

not a good brand for my truck
my truck falls between some
one it being a one ton
I have contacted energy suspension
and they dont make them for my truck

but yes for your truck
I bet they can

if you find a place with good ones for
my aplication I would love to here it

Call 1 888 933 2805 and ask for Kevin. Have your spring width and inside diameter before you call. We remove bushings by heating them with a propane torch until the rubber catchs fire and the center sleeve falls out, we install them by putting them in the freezer and putting the spring in the hotter than hell Florida midday sun, a little lithium grease in the eyes and laying a 2x2 chunk of oak over it and beating it in with a 3lb sledge. If their still in the truck we use the same freezer,heat & grease witha piece of 1/2" ready rod and a 3" diameter 1/4" plate with a center hole and the impact gun.

and better

just got my vac gauge pretty exited
got a full compliment now
