66 Suburban Parts
I just bought a 66 Suburban and would like to know where you order your replacement parts if you need something?
Thank you in advance. |

Re: 66 Suburban Parts
Hi and welcome. Ready for some fun?
I am just finishing my project and have some trail and error with suppliers. My first advice is that an original part is best whenever you can get one. Repop parts vary and are generally not built to OE specs despite what is claimed. Be vary wary of replacement body parts. As for suppliers, there are many and many opinions here are mine: LMC is first choice. Even though they don't really do Suburbans, everything cab forward is same as pick up. Their catalog is invaluable. Big inventory, great service, fine prices. Next go to is Classicparts.com. Classic Auto is good too, but Classic Industries not so much. Also not so happy with Brothers. I experienced bad parts and bad service from Tucker. Eckler are good guys. My opinions and experiences only. I have a few sources for used parts. PM me if you want more. Scottie. |

Re: 66 Suburban Parts
Taillight lenses are available through many vendors and they are very good quality and fit. I bought mine back in the 80's at Pioneer Classics in Phoenix
And they are holding up well. I also painted the inside of my housings gloss white, and they are a lot brighter than the anodized aluminum. |
