headliner
i'm going order a headliner for my 1949 3100, and CTP is showing one for a early 49 and a later 49, it says the early 49 is held on buy a stainless steel retainer, which i do not have or even know if it is supposed to have. how is another way to tell if i have early 49 or what. the headliners look the same except one had 2 extra small pieces, not sure what they are for, has anyone made there own?

Re: headliner
look at your roof, if there is a bracket all the way across the middle of the in the middle with holes in it for the center hoop to screw to, it is the older type. if there arent any holes drilled for screws, you have the later type that secures on the sides with two T brackets (upside down)
I dont know if the later roof can be drilled for the early screw in type, or vice versa, thats something the OGs can answer
