Rear axle not centered in wheel well.
Recently got the family truck back and working on getting all the kinks worked out. I noticed that the rear axle was not centered in wheel well. This was not a huge concern at the time until I put my new 20's on yesterday and now they will rub in the rear of the bed. The truck is an orginal Short Box, PO installed new rear end, drive shaft, and bags. What is the best solution to move the rear axle forward towards the cab a few inches?

Re: Rear axle not centered in wheel well.
www.pbfab.com sells a new trailing arm crossmember with several sets of holes to allow you to move the rear axle forward.
The rear wheel opening on a stepside bed is 1" forward of a fleetside bed. This compounds "the ill fitting look" when you lower the truck. I found this out when installing a stepside bed on a dropmember equipped chassis. The only solution to make it look right,... is to move the rear axle forward.

I feel like I need to move forward 3" or so would this crossmember allow that much movement?
