part # look-up please..
I just drug out the tranny I was gonna put in my 69 but had second thought's as my b.b. might sound better with a stick and not an auto????
These are the cast # on the tranny can someone tell me what they mean???? Thank's in advance.. GM6261886 3925656 352264

its a saginaw,,a muncie has the reverse lever in the tail shaft,,,,,,

Would this hold up to a b.b. chevy mildly built???? O r is it best for a small block??? I also got a LAKEWOOD scatter shield with it..

I looked up 69 Chev truck in my ADP Hollander interchange , it showed two diff 4 spds . A " New Process " and a Muncie with the #'s 3952666 - Muncie sm465 ........ jyd

The Saginaw will not hold up to a stock big block verry well, let alone one that is mildly built. You should find a Muncie to use. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Wes is 100% on the money. I blew up two saginaw 4 speeds when I had a mildly built 383. I couldn't imagine how long it would last behind a big block.

Thank's for the reply's but I already put it behind the worn out 350 that I put in my new 69..... The b.b. will stay with the th400 behind it..
