1977 P10 Steering Column
I am looking for some advice on this a new/rebuilt steering column. I'm in the middle of putting this rig back together. I am converting this from a manual transmission with a floor shift to an automatic. To free up the floor space, I'd like to move the shifter back to the steering column. From what I can gather, this is a 35" fixed column. The lower shaft is a 3/4" 36 spline option. I will be adding power steering to this also, in case that has any bearing on what my options will be.
I found this, but it's for a P30, not a P10. I'm pretty sure they are the same but not 100% sure if anyone can comment if it will work. Expensive, but I don't think this is going to be cheap any way I approach it either. http://www.columnsgalore.com/SCGP3090.htm I'm also open to a universal column, but don't really know what's good and what will work for this van. I'd love any opinions anyone has on what to get. Thanks!

Re: 1977 P10 Steering Column
I believe P chassis columns were the same regardless of GVWR. P32 and P42 used same until 90 or 91 if I recall.

Re: 1977 P10 Steering Column
Looks like I found one that is going to work! Classic Performance Products have come through for me. My hopes are high for an easy installation. 35" column with tilt (mild upgrade over stock), GM wiring, and the 3/4" 36 spline shaft.
