Mystery wire

Curious about this wire and plug I found on the cowl above to master cylinder it's on a 72 k20 it goes to the engine side of the harness.

Well, if I had to guess, I'd say it was part of a ballast resistor wiring or part of a kick down switch harness. Not sure.....what color is the wire? Does it have a colored tracer stripe on the wire?

It was either brown or black with a white strip.

Brown/White. It goes to the proportioning valve. For the warning light in the instrument cluster....
