My new sound with zero interior modification
I recently found this Marshall Bluetooth speaker for $50 at SAMs club($200-$300 everywhere else). Brought it home and was so blown away by the sound quality that I was inspired to make it my new sound system in my C10. Throw a cup holder insert in and it makes a really nice addition to my ride. Sounds incredible!

That's a cool idea. You must be a guitar player?

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
I play guitar, and own a Marshall amp. That is definitely pretty cool. What's the speaker setup in that little box? Just one midrange, or a couple little woofers with some separate tweeters? Anything's better than the stock dash speaker, but would like to know how that thing sounds.

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
It has two tweeters and one woofer with a bass port in back all made by Marshall. Sounds amazing. Every person who has heard it is blown away.

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
I had to hard wire in a power inverter to power up the speaker(all hidden of course). The inverter was originally designed to plug into the cigarette lighter.

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
Looks like they make a few little speakers. What model name is that one?
EDIT: Looks like the Acton. I might just have to make something like this, accommodating the transfer case shifter, of course... thanks for the idea!

You can do so much with technology today. I'm going to have to keep an open mind with the trucks we are putting together right now. I definitely prefer old school looking or original when it comes to vehicles.

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
Perhaps for you Fender folks they'll come out with a Twin Reverb.. Now that I think about it, I'd like a Mesa Boogie 50 Caliber version. Crank up the Santana.

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
I keep trying to think of ways to make my truck unique without crossing that "Gaudy" line. The only other item inside my truck that isn't stock is my shift lever. Its a yellow Bakelite knob with a domed hobo nickel inlay.

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
Great idea!
While this is blue tooth I have one of these and it has pretty good sound and volume, makes me wonder if it or something similar could be mounted in the factory speaker location? http://www.braven.com/outdoor-series...h-speaker.html . . .

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
Now that's a console. All nice touches that could have been in 67-72. Back then, I had an Ampex under dash cassette player...AND recorder. It came with a mic and had a storage tray on the bottom for the mic and 4 cassette cases. The speakers were Utahs.

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
What have you figured out for keeping it charged?

Re: My new sound with zero interior modification
No charging. It's designed to plug into a wall outlet but I've hard wired in a power inverter to plug the speaker into. I can also plug USB accessories into the inverter.

So how do you wire it in? I am about to make a stereo purchase and want a simple speaker idea.
