Sectioning an aftermarket fender to fit?
I saw a post on here where a guy was fitting aftermarket fenders, and one of the fenders he had to cut a line in and add about 1/4 of metal or so. I think it was roccrawlin that had that post. Im looking to see if i want to go this way or just sell the fenders and get a factory fender.
My only issue is i dont want to sell this problem to someone else and i dont mind doing metal work. Anyone know what im referring to? It was the front of the fender and he was trying to get the hood and fender gap perfect.

Re: Sectioning an aftermarket fender to fit?
if you extend the fender you have to extend the inner fender .Thru creative body alignment you should be able to make it fit just fine .

Re: Sectioning an aftermarket fender to fit?
I trimmed a bit of the front grill on both sides, and added a small lip on the aftermarket fender. Fits great now. Just crazy how off they are, but what do you expect.

Re: Sectioning an aftermarket fender to fit?
IIRC, I think Kevin was modifying his 1970 fenders to better match up with a 1968 hood is why he had to cut the fender. Not sure though.
