Re: WTB 47 - 54 Rear Fenders
I have a pair on my parts truck that are decent overall til you get to the lower front where some nutjob welded them to the running boards. If someone else doesn't come up with some for you in the meantime, I'll go to where the truck is stored when I get a chance and see if there is a way to cut em loose lol.
they are black with a little patina |

Chopit,
Thanks. I am up here in the snowy Northeast, if you can get them off, what would be most convenient way for you to get them up here? steve |

Yeah I wasn't thinking about that. By the time I got them off, tried to package them safe to avoid damage, and shipping it probably wouldn't be worth the cost. The shipping alone would be more than the fenders are worth

Re: WTB 47 - 54 Rear Fenders
mxer, I have a pretty rough set that came off my 50, down here in Joisey near Philly (Exit 4 NJTP). Don't know if you get down this way but I'd let you have them for beer money, say $50 for the set. They have some bondo, a few dents and some hillbilly welding work on them from the PO but might be salvageable for your purposes. Also the usual rot in front below the running board area.
I briefly checked shipping on both UPS and Greyhound and it looks like it would run about $120. I'd have to find some big-@ss boxes to pack them in. I can e-mail you pics, just PM me your e-mail address. If I find time later I'll post them. |

Out of interest, how did they work out? I was concerned about all the hillbilly repair work that the PO had done on them. Were you able to turn them into anything presentable?

Re: WTB 47 - 54 Rear Fenders
Jim,
Keeping them for the next build. The cab to the firetruck I sent you a picture of is now mounted on my s10 frame. I found '50 locally that is faded red. Going with the whole firetruck theme. I will use the cab from the '50, your fenders, my spare rusty bed, and a bunch of other mismatched stuff on the next project, which will be more radical. Thanks |
