Where does this mount? I read somewhere thats its on the body line and the first hole is 2 3/8 inch or so from the door edge... Is that right?

Google: 67-72 mirror location

I think i would just have a friend help, sit in the seat and make sure the passenger mirror is not obstructed by the window channel, i don't think anybody would be too critical about it.

Re: Mirror Mounting Help

Thanks! I saw that but was looking for another confirmation. Seems like there are 15 threads on how to mount the square mirror to that one for the 67-71 mirror or whatever style it is.

It looks like a fine location anywho.

Re: Mirror Mounting Help

2 5/8" from door edge to first hole
3/4" from upper body line

to centers of holes

"luckily" whoever painted my truck previously didn't fill the driver door well enough. My doors are original 68
