Are the axels and transfer cases any good in a 87 1/2 ton ?
I am looking at buying a 87 1/2 4x4 it has a 305 (kinda sucks) and a 7004 tranny I was wondering how tough the transfer case is ? And how about the axels are they any good ? The ad say's that it has Warn Hubs. It is a Alberta truck and it is pretty soild it still needs floors and Tires the guy want's 4000 for it. I am thinking it is only worth 3500 max to me. Any opnions would help. If the drive line is not very tough I will keep looking for a older style truck.
Thanks Mario

for a daily driver they are fine but for anything else they are less than desirable

right on buddy! It's about time you got a real truck of course a 67-72 4x4 would be even better!
do you still have that grill? I thought you were gonna sell it to your buddy, so I didn't get back to you about it. I think i'll pass on the tailgate, cuz like you said yourself...they suck! haha gimme a call dude. I might be going down to newmarket soon to pick up a lift kit for mine, maybe i'll stop by and see how the truck is coming. later
