Need help identifying and locating a part
I'm working on putting my truck back together and need a little help. I took a ton of pictures but have misplaced some of them. I think they are on an old phone. I think the part has something to do with the emergency cable but not sure. Can someone tell me what it is and where to buy a new one? I've looked on LMC but hard to find without knowing what it is. Truck is a 68.

Re: Need help identifying and locating a part
It is for the exhaust the pic shows part of the rubber still attached on my old 69 frame.
The one for the brake is on the bottom of the frame as shown in the other picture

Re: Need help identifying and locating a part
E brake cables are just rods through the frame no hangers. Well at least on my 71 they are. You can see them in the photo's.

Re: Need help identifying and locating a part
Thanks guys! If it's just the exhaust bracket, then I'll not worry about it. I thought if was something else. I'll support the exhaust in another route anyway. Awesome!

Re: Need help identifying and locating a part
I thought it was the bracket that held the e-brake cable in front of the cross member before it got to the rods that are through the frame.

Quote:
On a 71 there is no bracket in front of the crossmember. The cable goes around the tail shaft of the transmission like in the picture and the cable up to the cab has the catch on it to hook unto the other cable with 1/2" nuts and the end is threaded to pull it tight.

Re: Need help identifying and locating a part
It is an exhaust hanger bracket along with this other short one in the pic. They're yours for the cost of mailing. I was just going to scrap them. PM me if you're interested. USPS shouldn't be over six bucks.
