57 Replacement Frame Options (RR Frames)???
I am on the fence of modifying my stock frame with modern suspension or doing an after market frame. I came across a frame that looks pretty cool from RR Frames and was wondering if anyone has built one with their frame yet? I am trying to find a finished truck with one of their frames so I can see the stance.
It seems pretty cool, they build a frame to accept a complete drop out front and rear from a C4 corvette. I just did a 56 Corvette with a similar set up from another manufacturer and it rides awesome but they do not make a truck frame, Any other frames you all have built on? http://rrframes.com/55-59-chevy-truck-frames/

with the US dollar being what is it comp[ared to Canadian you might want to check out Canadian hotrods. they make a complete frame with corvette underside. all gm parts for the corvette stuff. it comes ready to drop your truck onto it. fully engineered and boxed with brake lines, fuel lines and battery cables inside the frame. you tell them what you want for engine/trans and they set it all up to accept that. they have a website for you to see how it all looks and what the stance is when completed. I have seen one of their frames up close and they are nice. powder coated as well.

if you can swing the money for an aftermarket frame, that puts you miles ahead of where most of us started
i know ogre spent over a year just on his frame also check out fatman fab in charlotte nc, they make a good product and shipping would be less than from montana

it's called the road hugger chassis. they take original corvette underpinnings, rebuild it all etc, and install. that way you get original gm stuff. all the brackets and frame rails are computer cut and welded on a frame jig. nice and solid.

No offense to anything or anyone Canadian.... but there are enough starving automobile parts dealers and customizers right here in 'Merica that could use your hard earned AMERICAN dollars if you are in the spending mood.... feed OUR economy ..... Just Sayin'
You've got many many choices out there, so shop around and make the best deal with any one of them. Im sure they all will work hard for YOUR Business. Good luck on your build.

Seems very few TF owners swap frames, especially compared to AD builders.

It's not that hard to do your self, I made my own rear mounts for about $52 of steel.

Have you figured out ride height yet, will it be standard height or will you be able to drop it? RR Frames sent this picture of a truck they are building now and the back sits a bit high for my liking and it does not have much downward adjust ability.
