15x8 backspacing

I know stock 15x8 gm wheels are 4" backspacing but 3.75" should clear too, right?

Yes, it will move the wheel out .25in.

You can go low as 7" drop in the rear with a notch

Ok thanks but Im talking about wheel backspacing, not lowering the truck.
