I know stock 15x8 gm wheels are 4" backspacing but 3.75" should clear too, right?

Yes, it will move the wheel out .25in.

I figured that but wasnt sure if that would cause clearance issues.

You can go low as 7" drop in the rear with a notch

Ok thanks but Im talking about wheel backspacing, not lowering the truck.
