Borgeson Delphi 600 Power Steering with manual transmission?
Hoping someone has run into this issue and could help me out.
Working on a 1956 Chevy. Purchased a Borgeson Delphi 600 Power Steering box that was advertised as a conversion kit for the '56 (with modification to the steering column). The problem I'm running into is that the shaft from the clutch linkage is hitting the power steering rod. I called Borgeson and they weren't sure if the power steering box or rag joint should be different for a manual clutch set up. Anyone? |

Seeing what and where it is hitting will help. If the rag joint is the problem, swappng it for a U-joint may cure it.

Discovered that the Z bar was not sitting level and that the problem may be with the frame bracket. I cut the existing frame bracket off and will see if re-positioning it will help with clearance.
