pick up one of the bigger 4wd magazines and check the ad's in the back, there are a few places advertised that specialize in those. they can be a real pain to get parts for, my dad had a 72 and a 73 and without the linesetting chart on them it would have been a guessing game on replacement pieces. IH used parts from all the big 3 plus others.
they are tough little suckers to beat, off road. my dad's both had 345s and the torque was unreal. best of luck.

My friend has all kinds of IH Parts. What all do you need?

There is also a IH parts/repair store on Sandy Blvd. in Portland Or. I can't remember the name right now. His prices can be kind of high but they have been in business for years. The owner is like in his 80's

Parts

For some reason I have an automatic transmission from a 4x4 for one of those, and a steering column. Don't ask me why. Do you need one?

years ago ( like in 1986) i bought one of those that was a retired county vehicle ( nassau county road department vehicle) and i only paid like $200 for it. Ran it for two years without doin anything to it great tough truck , as a matter of fact it was hit by a garbage truck and barely dented. therye fun trucks, but pigs on gas
thre are specialty companies for parts and alot of the pick and pull yards have em laying around. they make a great plow truck too lol

Someone on the BB at one time posted a pic of a Scout that was in FULL ARTICULATION meaning the pic showed the axles from one end and they were an X. Maybe they will read this and repost the pic.

scout

WOW, thanks for all the leads , what I need first is the wiring harness, the last owner was clueless and started cutting wires. Found a book in the rig that gives the info on the running gear and type, size, model of the engine and tranny too.

thanks.
