Why don't they work
Does anyone know why you are not able to use the bumper guards they sell in the catalogs with an original bumper?

Re: Why don't they work
The LMC catalog says: " Bumper guard set fits original equipment bumpers only. All bumpers listed in this catalog are aftermarket."
So if you have OEM original GM bumpers they should work. Not sure why they wouldnt on aftermarket bumpers. What does that say about the bumpers they sell?

Re: Why don't they work
From what I have experienced I can say that the profile of the aftermarket bumper is not as "flat" at the top as the oem bumpers.
I got a pair of guards that looked like they were from another style vehicle (they were not) because they would not sit properly on my bumper until I realized that my aftermarket bumper must be the issue - it flares upward at the top (below the grille). Greg.
