Exhaust Valve Flapper Assy Image
Anyone have an image of the block with the flapper in which installs on the RH exhaust manifold (mine is a 307 V8). I'm looking for one and want to know what a complete one looks like--I think mine is missing the counterweight arm (as my old Jeeps have). I'm guessing mine is seized up as well.
Thanks in advance for the help. Will post a wanted ad in that section once I can describe it effectively. Regards, Dave. |

Re: Exhaust Valve Flapper Assy Image
Here's a pic from my 69 with a 350 taken during teardown showing the original mounting location and position of the lever/counterweight. Note that it was on the left side. My understanding is that the truck small blocks had them on the left and cars had them on the right. However, I'm not sure if that applies to all years.
Edit: Oops, forgot the pic! |
