fuel filter or vapor cannister
The last owner of my 72 thought 3 to 4 fuel filters would be good. So this is mounted on my fender with a fuel filter in line before it. It's a 72 with a 73 or newer 350.

Fuel filter. My guess is that 3 or 4 filters is how the previous owner "fixed" a rusty gas tank.

Re: fuel filter or vapor cannister
3 or 4 fuel filters? And some people on here thought I was crazy for wanting to put one in line before the fuel pump!
You just never know what the previous owner has done...... If you have a rusty fuel tank you also have a rusty fuel line......clean that tank out, renew it, replace that fuel line, and get that truck back on the road! (That's my plan anyway). |

Re: fuel filter or vapor cannister
Mike,
There was a huge amount of debate on here when I asked about that......it seems there is more than one right answer. I finally decided to just put one in between pump and carb, along with the filter that goes into my monojet carb. |

Re: fuel filter or vapor cannister
That large filter is a marine fuel / water separator.
