Anyone know what this is??

Does anyone know what this might be? It appears to be capping a hole. This is up towards the top of the back window. At first I was thinking it was for seatbelt. Truck is a 72, was shoulder belts an option?

Re: Anyone know what this is??

My 71, and 72 have those for three point seat belts. Just pop out plug and look to see if it is threaded.

Re: Anyone know what this is??

There is a threaded hole under that ,that could be used for a shoulder belt.

Awesome!!! I had thought it might be for the shoulder belt but didn't want to go pop it off and ruin the paint. Now this opens up options for seats!

Re: Anyone know what this is??

Yes, it's actually great GM did this. All 67-72 cabs had this threaded bolt, what was unfortunate was that the optional 3rd point belt was a very rarely ordered option, so the vast majority of trucks just have a plug. There are a ton of options for 3 point belts for these trucks that are a literal bolt in.

Re: Anyone know what this is??

I used belts and seat from the 88-98 body style. They work great and bolt in.
