bed wood
anybody know of someone in the Houston Texas area that will cut wood for my bed floor? I have two trucks that need a new floor and woodwork is not one of my skills. trying to save money on shipping. any info is appreciated. THANKS

A good trim carpenter will be able to do it for you. Just give him the correct measurements. It's all a matter of having the right tools. Doesn't really need to be a truck person to get the wood done properly.

dont go cheapo on the wood either. nothing looks worse then a highly finished wood with knot holes in it.

I'll second the recommendation of a good carpenter. One of my friends is an outstanding wood worker and he cut and milled a set for me. We bought really nice red oak at a local lumber supplier (quarter sawn, great figure) for about $260.00 It was all properly dried, and he used my old boards as the template. So far he has final sanding done, and all drilling (other than the counter sunk washers) completed. Just waiting on a bit warmer weather to start the finish work.

I'd just print off this information and take it to a local cabinet maker or shadetree woodworker
