AC compressor wont kick on..
Can you guys help me out with this please? I am working on a 72 Cheyenne super with factory air. My AC compressor will not kick on. Fan switch works fine on all speeds. Air blows strong from the vents. Can you please tell me what actually signals the compressor to turn on? I tried moving the top lever to AIR but still nothing. Thanks for the help.

Re: AC compressor wont kick on..
There is a plunger switch behind the duct work right before the floor vent. If it's not pushed in it want come on. This is what makes the compressor kick on per the system. So if you jumped the LP switch out and it ran then it's working. Don't run it long with that switch jumped.
This is the factory manual drawing of the wiring.
