68 Step side rear end question.
Currently have a 68 Step side and it's bugging me to death that the rear axle sits 3/4-1" to far back in the fender well. The NSR show is here this weekend and noticed that the 67-68 show quality step sides out there are the same way. Is this that the rear end is not centered properly or true from what i have read that the fender openings make the wheel not look centered inside well?

Re: 68 Step side rear end question.
Just measured mine. 18" from center to front bottom wheel well, 18" from center to rear bottom wheel well.
I'm about to put a 5" drop on the back. Looks Ike those #s will not be = afterwards...just by eyeballing it...

Re: 68 Step side rear end question.
I was curious so I measured mine. I have a good 6" drop in the back. 17.5" From center of wheel to lower forward wheel well cutout, 18" to the rear.
