Living proof that i cannot say no to any of these trucks. Bought the short wide Saturday, the frame I bought in a deal a couple of months ago, just forget to go get it. This IS NOT a for sale thread, just an example of how to spend a nice Saturday. The frame components will be listed in the for sale forum when i get a chance. Dig the "shaved" door handles...

The only thing stopping me from having several of these trucks is money. I tell myself it's "space" but if I had the money I'd buy the space.

Thanks. I am very fortunate. My wife does not mind as the trucks are a different distraction than a lot of people we know have. keeps me busy, out of trouble and close to home when i am out in the shop. The money aspect is not an issue as the hobby/business supports its self. Money from the household NEVER goes to the shop. If it comes to that, it is time to quit.

Man, I have been there. That is why i did not have one here at the shop for so long. And I could really tell it last month as i threw all my spare time and money at the one we are building. This month it is sitting til we can refill the shop account.. I am selling anything that i have had stuck back and have not looked at for a long time. Some little stuff, some bigger stuff.

I have a front clip for sale locally that I won't be using. I bought those parts years ago out of a junkyard.

My old parts that are too badly rusted I plan to haul off to the crusher although I may keep my old outside fender or just cut off the bad parts. The day will come when even rusty parts have some value.

If I get my truck running this spring/summer, a full scale garage renovation is planned. Then I'll hopefully have the room to find the same tool twice!

I understand perfectly. We did something against my better judgement,,, painted the shop truck in my shop. Never again, but the weather and time were both working against us.

You should have carried it right on over to Memphis this weekend. It would have looked good with the stuff that is getting dragged to the car coral at Super Chevy nowadays. When I first started going 20 something years ago it was pretty good stuff. Just as life goes the better stuff is either put up or used up.

Buying junk is fun! Looks like you had a whole lot of fun!! Nah, honestly, you can't go wrong with the "good stuff" you just picked up. Some people like to have a dining room they never eat in and a living room they never live in. Others like to have old trucks in the yard they'll never drive. I just don't get that whole dining room/living room thing

Yet another reason I did not go to Super Chevy this year. I have been going since 1987, except for the years the track was closed, but last year had finally had enough. It just got pathetic.

I am in southeast Missouri, 100 miles south of St Louis. They usually do not stick around very long. I have a Facebook page, Specialty Retail, that we usually post them on as soon as they roll on the driveway. Keep an eye on us, maybe we can help you. Thanks, Fred.
