1985 former Rescue Dually, 454 and no bed -- Craigslist

Danged if this wouldn't be a fun project for someone.

Factory buckets????
Possibly a military or copo spec
Would be interesting to look at the SPID sticker.
Good price ...if it was closer I would buy it.

It looks like it had been an ambulance at one time, so I'm guessing the buckets are courtesy of the coachbuilder that put the ambulance package on it.

It does interest me that they built an ambulance with a 454 and a 3-speed manual. I wonder if that's the old Saginaw 3-speed?

To me that's a 4 speed. SM465. Granny low and 1-2-3

I would agree, but the craigslist ad says "3-speed." Not sure what to make of that.

The SM465 says L, 1-3 & R on the shift knob. That's 4 forward gears but to the unwashed masses that's a 3 speed... I might argue they are correct.

With a Holmes unit it'd make a nice light duty wrecker.

As a former firefighter....
Many of these have buckets installed by the coach company and a radio console in the middle!
Although this one appears to have no console
Looks like a great project!

The console was likely removed to install in the replacement ambulance.
