Mystery wires
I just put the truck back together with a new emgin/transmission and I cant figure out where these wires were connected or what they do. I think one is the reverse light but the others are a mystery.

This is where the bundle passes through the firewall.

Re: Mystery wires
You should message a member by the name of VetVette, he is an expert and has helped me several times. I'm not 100% sure but it looks like part of it might be a neural safety switch and possibly reverse lights from the old transmission. Don't hold me to that, as its just a guess.

Re: Mystery wires
those look like the leads off of a transmission controlled ignition (spark control?) anyways, that sender with the black (should be blue colored wire) is your oil pressure sender, the green and white wire looks to be the temperature sender wire......not sure on the rest, probably one of the leads to the distributor.

Re: Mystery wires
That sender should have read oil pressure light not gauge.just wanted to make that clear.
