67 Bed Hole questions
I have a 67 long fleet and i ordered a wood kit from classic parts. I had them pre drilled with the offset holes. However i think i am missing a hole on each board. How many holes are there supposed to be? Right now i have 4 offset holes on each board. Is there supposed to be a hole where the red circle is or am i installing them wrong?

Re: 67 Bed Hole questions
Should only be 8 total bolts that hold the bed to the frame, I think it looks correct.

Re: 67 Bed Hole questions
The problem is, is where the red circle is on the pic there is another carriage bolt under the wood there and its hitting the bottom of the wood underneath. Is yours a short bed or long? Beautiful bed by the way!

Re: 67 Bed Hole questions
Looks like it might be drilled wrong.

Re: 67 Bed Hole questions
Mine is a long bed. You need the help of some short bed guys to get this solved. Good luck!

Re: 67 Bed Hole questions
I just finished up my short step side bed yesterday and the board that i have like yours doesn't look anything like that.I'm almost positive you have a misdrilled board.:censored

Re: 67 Bed Hole questions
Well mine is a long bed too. The thing is, all the holes line up except its missing a drilled hole for the bolt where the red circle is. I guess i will just end up drilling a hole myself. Another mistake on this build, shoulda checked the wood before doing all the varnishing and staining. Ohwell, live and learn

Re: 67 Bed Hole questions
well i figured it out. I saw pics from another thread and it looks like the cross sill isnt bolted to the frame. The thread said its free floating but i dont like that idea. So i am going to put a bolt through the cross sill but only where the frame meets the underside mounting plate of the cross sill. Problem solved, for now?
