Bruce, other than what you can see, its a V8..... the stock 283 what I've been told with the grannie transmission, no power steering or brakes, I really love the saddle color against the tinted glass, I found the ashtray under the seat.

Re: The Clydesdale

Bad ass long bed buddy! Cleaning up the wiring under that dash will be fun I had to do the same when I first got mine... I have a long bed as well, it grew on me, it came in handy when I was moving and hauling parts.

Lovely Truck!

Re: The Clydesdale

Looking at the pics again, I don't think I've ever seen a step bumper like that before. That is, straight across with no recess for a hitch. It does look period correct, though. I kinda like it even though it looks like the gate suffered a bit due to that add-on hitch ball.

On my 63 C20 (also an ORG.CA truck) it has same style rear bumper straight across the back NO recess for hitch .. Only mine HAD the wrap around fender/quarter panel bender wings on it

Here's a similar bumper on another 66.

Re: The Clydesdale

I was just getting ready to congratulate you on the great new find Rene! And there it goes... Ha. Was nice while it lasted, but am sure there's something coming soon to fill the space it was taking up. That was a nice looking lwb. Saddle probably my favorite color for this era truck.
