Need frame # help
The # on the frame under the steering hose's??? I was wonderin if some one could help me out I think I got a worth less 69-72???
The frame # is 2s144242 from what I could tell. The vin plate on the door say's CE149S849915. This truck is from O.K. and I am thinking some one swapped the frame out...

Appears like it has been... the frames a 72 built in St Louis and the cabs a 69 built in St Louis.

Thank's rod I called in the # on the police radio and it is not stolen so that make's me feel better I also called in the frame # and it is clean also..Thank's rod..

You can pretty much patch together number for the police to check on from what on the frame... just add a ..in this a case sinces its a 72 frame go CCE142S14424 or CCS142S14424 or you could change the 4 to a 3 ... thats pretty much the only 3 it would be if its a 1/2 ton 2wd. If I saw the frame I could tell if it was an 8 or 6 originally and other stuff too... but thats from looking at lots...lol.

HmmI guess it could have beena GMC frame too but it would of had a T in front and not the first C.
Cant think if they made GMC trucks in St. Louis right now. I have a good memory ...just short.
