Upper control arm bolts spinning. 66 C10

Hi all, I was hoping someone could help me with this issue. I recently did some work on the front end of my truck and now need an alignment. When I got to the shop the upper control arm mount bolts spin in the frame mounts preventing adjustment. I understand these are splined bolts and was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue and what would be the best course of action.

Thanks in advance...

Can you tack weld them solid to get the nuts off, you think?

If not, could you get vise grips on them to hold them?

The common cure is to tack weld them, although JB weld or epoxy would work also.

Re: Upper control arm bolts spinning. 66 C10

Thanks for the replies. I was able to tack the driver's side but there is not enough room on the passenger side. I would like to figure out a way to get them out and replace them with studs that have a hex head on them or grade 8 bolts. Does anyone know what diameter they are? I'm thinking 3/8 X 16 . I called Napa and classic muscle and they don't have a listing for the studs. LMC has them but they are the same button heads and I'm afraid they will spin also. Any help is definitely appreciated, I'm trying to fix by the weekend.
