Removing paint overspray from washer bottle.

My truck's PO had a friend paint the truck and "taping off" wasn't something he had heard about.

My windshield washer pump is a mix of the colors black and ochre.....would paint remover get that off without harming the plastic?

Also, where is a good place to get replacement rubber hose for the squirter lines?

Thanks!

Some plastics I have got brake cleaner on get a fog/haze to them after.

You could try it on the underside first as a test. Brake fluid is ok on some plastics but eats paint.

Re: Removing paint overspray from washer bottle.

Lacquer thinner cleans up over spray. Solid paint may take stripper. Really strong laundry detergent/hot water mix sometimes lifts paint.

One thing better and often easier than masking would be "remove".

Talking Re: Removing paint overspray from washer bottle.

if you know anyone with a soda blaster, that would do a nice job of removing the paint without marring the surface......
