VIN ? rusted out
I have a friend doing a frame off resto. An close to putting everything back. But his vin is rusted out a bit. Is there a way to get a new vin same #. Or is he stuck on getting another cab with title. I read police or highway patrol can do this after inspecting. What are the steps, paper work involved. Any legal info is greatly appreciated.

Re: VIN ? rusted out
That's a very finicky item. I'd just go to dmv then state police n see what they say. Every state, and even then the counties are different.
