Cruise Control Options for Gen I SBC

I've been reading a few threads over in the LS section of guys adding cruise control, which is awesome, but wondering what options are out there for the Gen I motors (Iam running a ZZ4 Crate Motor) with limited electronics, I haven't looked around much, but are there some quality new units worth looking at? Certain other older vehicles that guys have robbed from? Just looking at what options are out there.

Or maybe I just say screw it save my pennies and put that Weiand 144 Supercharger on that I've been drooling over who needs cruise when you have 600hp under your right foot

Re: Cruise Control Options for Gen I SBC

The OEM setups are generally huge. I had an aftermarket one on a big block in about 1990 that decent and much smaller. Unless original appearance is for some reason very important, I'd stick an aftermarket unit on it for sure.

I'd say Cruise Control and a Supercharger are in the "conflicting goals" category!

Conflicting indeed, that's me in a nut shell, conflicted, hahaha. Original appearance is not important. Easy of use, ease of install, cost, minimal bulk, that would be high on the list.
