Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
I have never had any intentions of owning a RV, but now I do! I found this the other day looking for parts. After talking to the guy a little bit, and then showing my other half, it is now our new toy for the summer. She named it Frankie from the trailer manufacturer Franklin.
This is the cleanest unmolested 67-72 truck I have ever seen! It says 28k miles on the odometer, and was told by the guy I bought it from(second owner) that it is correct. You guys tell me where and what I should look at to tell any different...

Re: Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
So jealous... One way to check for low miles being true is if your ball joints are riveted or bolted in. rivets mean low miles

Re: Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
Now rip that camper off, shorten the frame, C notch it, bag it, slam it, and change it!
Just kidding, I hope you leave it exactly as it is and get some great times with your family in it. |

Re: Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
I tell you what, with bed bugs becoming a real problem for motels around the country, I would definitely make use of an RV if I could.

Re: Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
Nice! Brake pedal looks worn about right for 28k. If it were 128k or more, I'd expect to see a good bit more wear on it. I think folks bought these, used them some for trips - i.e. didn't drive it to work every day and accumulate miles, and 28K is very believable for this cool ol camper. Congrats!

Re: Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
Great find!
I agree with the low miles based on the like new steering wheel grain and seat condition. |

Re: Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
Really cool. I was angling to buy a camper similar to that about 4 years ago from a board member here. I was going to buy it and fly out to California and drive it back across country but it didn't pan out. Not sure what happened to the rig after that. Please show us more inside the camper pics.

Re: Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
That is super cool. Congrats on your buy. I picked up my 72c30 over a year ago and just took it out this past week for our first trip. No regrets.

Re: Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
That's a nice one too Dirt - what's the bladder/pad between the cab and cabover sleeper part for? Another very cool camper truck. And a Cheyenne Super to boot!

Re: Meet Frankie...'72 C30 Camper
I had no idea. On mine when I got it home I put more air in it and it bowed up the wood under the bed above the cab so I took the air back out. I figured it was to keep the camper stable to keep from sagging.
