Will Corvair Radio for my 63'?

Good morning Fellas, I just bought pretty decent 1963' Corvair Radio with its faceplate for my 63' truck, my dash is a little hacked up so this will look great since the Corvair faceplate will cover up the cut up face opening and radio knob holes. Anyways, my question is how does the radios mount up? It has a back mounting L-Bracket that in sure I can cut down to length if it is too long, in assuming that using two nuts won't be the past way to mount using the face plate.

Thanks guys

I used to have a 63 Corvair radio in my 65 Chevy II and it fit. I think the old radio housings are the same size and of course the shafts are moveable. I mounted mine in the back with metal pipe strap. Lots of holes for mounting to the radio and dash.
Good luck

I'm from Los Angels and always know plumbers tape as the white tape to deal faucets and pipers... Thank you btw, I've seen this stuff before! I'm gonna pick it up tomorrow in the morning from ACE hardware

Thanks. I had to modify the opening cuz the radio was a 1/4" bigger but it was fine since my dash was already cut so I didn't mind, the radio faceplate covers everything and makes it look so much better.
