Idle/clutch issue
67 c20 v8. When i push the clutch in the motor revs real high. Truck hasn't been started in ten years

Could be a broken motor mount..watch the engine while you push in on the clutch.

Yeah. '67 (throttle linkage, not a cable) might be affected by a purely mechanical interference. That or you've got something bad wrong in the clutch/tranny that's causing a lot of drag.

I know it’s an old dead thread. Thought it was worth a shot, he might get an email notification and reply.
My truck has a cable. When I clutch in, (in or out of gear) the Rpms increase. I don’t have a tach, so I’m not sure by how much. I would guess 200-300 rpm increase from a clutch out and neutral idle. |
