Re: 2 gvw's on same truck?
"As manufactured" is the way your specific truck was equipped with it's own option content.
"Maximum" is the most you could get with any combination of available tire and suspension components. For example, maybe the person who ordered your truck chose RPO C6C such that the GVW was limited to 7500lbs, based on whatever the weak link is (tire load range, rear springs, front springs, front axle, rear axle or frame). If a person wanted they could have ordered RPO C6N, which would be the maximum anybody could have for that particular model (at 8200lb GVW). K

Re: 2 gvw's on same truck?
My 73 K20 had the same plate.
It came with 8 ply tires, hence the 7500 limit "as manufactured" but if you switched to 10 ply tires then it could carry 8200 with no other modification. Those were tough trucks. I sometimes well exceeded GVW with no problems other than blown tires. I just wish that I had ordered it with manual four speed - then I might even still have it today

Back then a 1/2 ton was a 1/2 ton* and a 3/4 ton was a 3/4 ton.; There weren't LD and HD 3/4 tons like there are today. K *well, except for the "Heavy Half"...

I think VIN should be "CK..." not "CC..."
