Offset air cleaner: what color was factory?
I have an off set air cleaner set up but it needs painted. Although I think blue would be pretty, I'd like to stay factory.
What would factory color have been? Is this something that needs that high temperature engine block paint? |

Only black as far as i know, same as all the other air filters, would guess semi gloss but don't quote me on that, it won't need to be High temp.

^^ Agreed but I think satin black (less shiny than semigloss).

That's good that it doesn't have to be high temperature. I think black satin was the factory shade for all underhood components, right?

I used to wax my air cleaner. I think there would have been a lot of residue left behind if it were satin. |

I use this for all applications that call for satin black. It is extremely durable, lays down smooth, and wipes clean very easily.

The only bad thing about my "truck work" is that I have a mix of satin and gloss painted brackets! I don't guess it really matters that much.....
