65 wiper switch
i took my dash apart to install a new speedometer cable. the stock wiper switch must of been on its way out. installing everything back together and now the wipers stay on no mater what position the switch is.
anyone know a good replacement for one? i really dont want to pay 50 bucks from LMC just for a wiper switch. also it currently has just a 1 speed wiper switch. could i just put a 2 speed wiper switch in it? |

Re: 65 wiper switch
Have you taken the switch off to see if you can disassemble it and clean the contacts? It should be a very simple switch.

Re: 65 wiper switch
when I first got my truck the wipers didn't work at all, and it's just a single speed, I took it out from the dash and looks like someone had tried to get into it so I continued to pry the tabs apart and regreased it with dielectric grease and put it back together and it's been working just fine, very simple switch just has some copper contacts inside when you turn it on the make contact with each other and wala...
