Wow! I found my build sheet

Wow! I decided to look under the seat of the new 66 C10 we bought. The build sheet is there. It has a perfectly small hole on the roof dead Center, it has a spotlight and was painted a ugly dark green color from the factory. I told my parents I thought it was a Colorado Forestry service truck or something.

The build sheet says something about something service of Colorado, so I think I might be right. Could this be a Department of Transportation vehicle or a forestry truck?

Can anyone else decipher what this build sheet says? I don't want to remove it because it will ruin it.

I know it is the custom Comfort Cab which has the seat, the extra sun visor and passenger side lock.

What other options did it have?

See if you can get a better shot of the options listed toward the bottom of the sheet. The dealer that the truck was originally shipped to should also be indicated.

The Special Paint should also be on the data plate on the LH lower A pillar
Sunshade Equipment is for the RH visor, only LH was standard
Safety Door Lock Equipment is for the RH door handle with lock cylinder, only LH was standard

Does the radiator have a fan shroud?

Re: Wow! I found my build sheet

You really should make an effort to remove it before it tears more. Make a copy and put that copy under the seat, place the original in a plastic acid free sleeve to preserve it.
Saw a member on this site use tie wraps to pull back on the springs to remove his for preservation.
We who do not have a build sheet are jealous.

Re: Wow! I found my build sheet

Dear Austin,
Great find. Please share a picture of your build sheet one day. I own a 66 gmc and have not located a build sheet or SPID sheet (found in glove box). I am hoping to have a SPID repop made. I don't think our numbers are the same as the C10s and there are many of those floating around. For one thing, I have 8 leaf springs and I have been wondering if they were an option or base. You may just be helping many of us seeking such data. I agree with the other post, I would carefully remove the build sheet and place in a non acidic clear envelope and put in your restoration binder. I envy originality..lol
THANKS, Ted
