Conversion u-joints?
I have a 1/2 ton 87 that I put 3/4 ton axles under from a 91 burb. The 3/4 ton axles take a larger u-joint but my 1/2 ton uses a smaller u joint. I talked with a few guys at work and they said spicer makes a conversion u-joint? Any help is much appreciated

Re: Conversion u-joints?
Denny's driveshaft has lots of conversion joints. The last conversion joint I used, was the GM3R to 1350, O'riely's had it on the shelf. You will probably need the same, have them cross reference 2-1153.

Re: Conversion u-joints?
I bught one for the same scenario from NAPA off the shelf when I put the 14-bolt SF from my '91 V2500 Suburban under my '85 Jimmy. I was going to shorten the Suburban driveshaft once I swapped the 4L80E in, but decided to stay with the 700r4 since it worked fine. The amazing thing is, with a 4" lift I installed at the same time, the Jimmy driveshaft was the perfect length using the 9.5" 14-bolt. Who'da knew? Just too dang easy, these GMs are
