Door bolts on a 49
Are there any special bolts for the hinge mount to the cab? It looks like my drivers door is hitting the bolts and pushing the door back.
If not how do I get it off the bolt head?

Re: Door bolts on a 49
The correct ones have a thinner head. Most vendors sell regular bolts as the correct ones which they are not. I put them in a lathe and trim the heads. You could do the same with a vise and 3" sanding disc. This causes many door alignment issue that people think are bad hinges.
Or go here https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...sp?Product=AN6 and look up a AN6-A bolt it has a thin head and is just under 1" long 3/8-24 Last edited by dwcsr; 06-22-2016 at 07:55 PM. |

I will try that and see what happens. Truck is modified so I am expecting they have been changed.
