Today's interesting find.
I have been helping out a friend who owns a Towing and recovery business. And he has years worth of stuff setting around his place. It's about 5 acres with half over grown with years of stuff covered up. I found a 73-80 C10 pretty much complete, but almost rusted away. From all the years sitting in high grass and it had just eaten this truck away. There isn't a inch of the truck that hasn't been effected by rust.
But the tailgate caught my eye. We where digging it out to scrap the truck. I looked it over for anything to keep. I grabbed the dash trim(custom aluminum piece) and the tailgate. The engine had a cracked block, so a decent set of used heads and a 4 bolt crankshaft. And a short tail shaft turbo 350, the rest is going to the masher. Check this tailgate out, what they had done was cut the face off the tailgate. Have it stamped with the louver dye, then rewelded the panel back in place. KA
