Someday has come!!!!
Been a long time lurker and owned a 1970 step side back in high school. I have always regretted selling it. 25 years later and another C10 sort of fell into my lap. 1971 SWB Fleetside, no cancer, 60K original miles, and garage kept. I've upgraded my membership and am looking forward to becoming an active member on this forum. I am gonna try and add pictures...

Re: Someday has come!!!!
Thank for the responses. It falls into your lap by suddenly showing up around the block from your house and you go to the door with cash in hand! I feel I got very lucky!

Looks like it was worth the wait! I've had mine for 20 years and it doesn't look that nice.

Re: Someday has come!!!!
Congrats on a real nice find. I bet you feel it was worth the wait. From your comment I am thinking although the truck was in your neighbourhood you had never seen it before and when you did approached the owner seeing if he wanted to sell it and he said yes ?

Actually, it really did just pop up one day. I drove by it every day for about 2 weeks when my 6 year old son told me just go up to the door! It was the owner's great uncle's truck that had been stored at his Mothers house for the past 5-10 years. He put a new fuel tank in it and got it running and he took my cash in hand offer! |
