Re: 1965 c10 cuztom dually
Playing around with 8 lug Single wheels before the steel Duallys came into play. Drop spindles was the reason why we went with the dually setup. Front dually setup with drop spindles and cut springs for now, awaiting airbag setup. 1st attempt on a rear dually set up. This rear was completely rotted out backing plates extremely rusted. The 2 ND rear was two thumbs up . Cleaning scraping the rear ,the old school way .

Re: 1965 c10 cuztom dually
Perhaps not the right thread to comment in, but, the picture with the brake drum and hub facing vertical looks like the cast iron planters my girlfriend ogles over.
Great project, following.

Re: 1965 c10 cuztom dually
Back in May I picked up a set of 19.5 for my son, to surprise him on his birthday. This Saturday 7/16/16 he received his birthday gift.
Picking up the 19.5 on top of the Shaved Woody back in May 2016 Happy Birthday ,picking 19.5 from a top secret hiding spot.(momz house) Good old fashion elbow grease and S.O.S pads cleaned up extremely well. Cool truck. I know I'm late to the party but I hope there's more. I'm in for low budget builds.

Re: 1965 c10 cuztom dually
Very cool.
I built a 68 1 ton dually shortbed last year. Widened the short bed 6 inches and it covered the duals perfectly. What are you planning for a bed? Great to see your son in the middle of it. That's how most of us all started. "One day your son will thank you for it. His wife, not soo much". Ha. Be following this one.
