help with door window channel
A little help please, how does this fuzzy channel bend around the door without the corners kinking over and looking like crap?

Re: help with door window channel
Work it in slowly and gradually, tap it into place, then straighten out the corner wrinkles with pliers or flat vice grips. How smooth it gets depends on how long you are willing to spend with the pliers. It may always have a little puckering in the corners, but nothing real detracting. Here's mine; I took this pic specifically to enhance your view of the puckering, but it's not even noticeable to anyone viewing the car from a normal position:

I like their technique of using the round end of a box end wrench to tap it into the corners. |

Re: help with door window channel
i have 1 piece windows in my 58
the channel was mangled when i removed it from the box, looked like someone bent it over their knee i tried to reshape it on the window but the glass was too thin i ended up cutting a plywood template of the glass, i used this to bend and smooth the channel it worked very well
